Heading Home

Loaded up and ready to go. Heath wanted another day at Epcot and Carrie wanted another day at Hollywood Studios. Going home is always bittersweet.

Cute decorations at the golf course next to Fort Wilderness.

We broke a brake shoe on the way back - in Georgia, no less, where everything shuts down by 4:00. At the truck stop, a very nice man from the electric company not only directed us to a reputable service station, he followed us there and, with the owner, called around to find another because the mechanics had already gone home. At our second stop, the owner kept his guys on to do our brakes - and even ran out to get a part they didn't have on hand. Just another reminder of what Christmas really is about; we were most appreciative of the folks in the town of Vienna, GA for helping us get home again!

Disney Christmas, Day 5 - Hollywood Studios

We didn't plan on going to the Studios this trip, but when we heard about the five million lights over the back lot, we decided to go there instead of back to Magic Kingdom. It was a good choice. We decided to stay an extra night so we could be at the park at night when the lights went on.

The storefront decorations were beautiful.

Quin lounges on Quincy from The Little Einsteins.

Toy Story madness

Jojo has to sign the autographs for Goliath - because he doesn't have any thumbs!

Waiting for our table for lunch at the Brown Derby. Look - another tree!

Heath talks to Goofy.

Cast member Alma called all of the kids to the phone to receive their phone calls from Goofy while we waited for our table. It's amazing to me how the cast members do so many neat things to make it special for the kids.

Did I mention that it was 82 degrees all week? Popsicle break.

Santa hats for everyone! Mouse ears and Tink.

Just a few of the 5 million dancing lights. Definitely worth staying for.

We took the bus to the Trails End Restaurant in Fort Wilderness our last night. Yes, I get the irony! And look - another tree!

Disney Christmas, Day 4 - Another Incredible Day at Epcot!

Proof that they did sleep a little during the week!

I finally get my Santa ear hat, and Adam finally gets his Grumpy shirt.

Great food and greater fun at the Ohana character breakfast at the Polynesian Hotel
