Senior Assassin

Shortly after I arrived home tonight, Ari pulled in the driveway beside me. She was being followed by an Audi, and a girl jumped out of the car as it was still moving. She hid behind my van, and Ari waved me over to her car. Evidently a game of Senior Assassin is afoot.
The Seniors divide into teams, and the team that you are after is different from the team that is after you. One shot with a water gun, and you are out of the game. Because my mother's car was between Ari and the garage, she was trapped. (You are safe from assassination only in your car, in your house, and at school.) Because you don't know who is on what team, it's not even safe to contact friends who are not on your team. Even work is not safe; evidently people were calling Ari's job to find out schedules this week.
Long story short, because the other team was very persistant, Ari was trapped in the car for two hours this evening. Here we had managed to sneak a phone through the passenger window, but Sheena is strategizing at the same time. . .
I've got to give them points - they stalked her for two hours in the rain. Needless to say, she made a run for one particular room when she made it into the house safely!
We're anticipating being stalked for the next three weeks, if Ari manages to stay "alive" that long.

Easter

Though we are worried about Alex, who has being missing since last Wednesday, we are trying to keep things as normal as possible for the Littles. We wait for word, but we managed to keep some of our Easter traditions this year in spite of our worry.

Gee, your eggs smell delicious.

Somebody is taking too long picking a character!

Easy Rider

We've got some moto babies. Heath may race this year, so we went to a track for a few days to try it out. Most of the shots are on the baby track - I couldn't get any good ones of him on the full-size track, either because the jumps were too high or because I was too busy willing him to stay on the bike. . .
The girls are already begging for bikes of their own - I think we're going to be in trouble!

Cherry Blossoms

Like childhood, the cherry blossoms don't last very long, but they are beautiful in the time they are given.

(My weeping snow blossom cherry tree, a gift from Adam on our first Mother's Day in this house.)
