Carrie's Birthday - Parties at Epcot and the Magic Kingdom

Heath woke up first on Carrie's birthday and immediately woke Carrie up to see her birthday surprises. Bolt and Shasta are loved by Carrie and Heath.

Beth I had picked up these princess notepads for us to add to the surprises.
Cool clothes, raincoat, and umbrella from Grandma and Grandpa.
Carrie really liked the castle centerpiece.
We rolled the table with the centerpiece over to the window so you could see it if you walked by our room.
First order of the day - lunch at Tappen Edo at Epcot. Both of the girls are wearing clothes they received for their birthdays.
Our server made the children's chopsticks at the table so they could watch.
Our awesome and very funny chef. He had Quin cracking up through the entire lunch.
Heath is posed to catch a shrimp tail. The chef put a scoop of shrimp tails on Carrie's plate as if he were dishing out her food - she looked at him like he was crazy!
The birthday girl is VERY happy.

Carrie ate better at this meal than I have ever seen her eat.
The girls both got birthday ice cream and chef's hats. Unfortunately, the picture of Carrie is not in focus.
Heath loved the koi pond outside the restaurant.
After lunch, we rode a ride and picked out Carrie's dress and got Heath's sword and pirate hat. Then it was back to the room to dress for the princess dinner and Halloween party.
Carrie has super-sensitive skin, so she always has to have another outfit on underneath her costume. Otherwise, she scratches and pulls at her costume the entire time she has it on. Adam thought she looked goofy, but I think it's cute. At least she had Tinkerbell jammies to go with her dress! The colors coordinated, anyway.
Heath emitting some testosterone to balance the girlie cooties in the air.
Carrie almost missed her picture with Belle - she had to run to the potty, and her costumes is made like a leotard. By the time we got her back into it, we were literally running back to the line so we didn't miss the picture. I did not get to fix her hair, but I think the girls look cute anyway.
Carrie shows Aurora that she is 5 now.

Heath was a good sport about the dinner, but he really did not care to have anything to do with the princesses. He did not want autographs or pictures.

Carrie with yet another birthday sweet.

The Halloween party was the highlight of the trip. Carrie thought it was a party just for her! At some point during the day, we were told that Carrie's birthday was also the 38th anniversary of the opening of Disney World. So not only did they have a big party on her birthday, she was sharing her birthday with the birthday of the park!
Picking up our treat bags for Trick or Treating.
Main Street all decked out in Halloween colors. They even projected moving ghosts onto the buildings.
The castle was also lit up in Halloween colors. The party was not nearly this crowded - we were entering as the people who had been at the park during the day were leaving.
I did Heath's dead pirate make-up in the Monorail without a brush. It left much to be desired.
This Cast Member spontaneously spoke to Heath like a pirate and engaged in some sword play.
The Headless Horseman started the parade.

Costumed characters in costumes. Tee hee!

I loved the corpse dancers.

During the parade, one of the Lost Boys from Peter Pan leaned over the rope and reached into Quin's treat bag. He didn't take any candy, but if looks could kill he'd be dead now.
We actually stopped at very few candy stations because the kids would rather ride the rides. I think we rode almost every ride in the park within a few hours. But when we did go to the stations to Trick or Treat, they gave candy out by the handfuls!
There were dance parties located throughout the park, so Carrie and Quin had to stop at each one. They were particularly excited about this dance party, because they so rarely get to see Daisy Duck.

While the girls danced, Heath murdered bubbles with his sword. Carrie would not leave the dance floor to ride any rides at this point, so Adam took Heath and Quin.

They were doing face painting for free, so the girls glammed up. We washed my shoddy paint job off of Heath and let him get made up as Jack Skelington.

More rides, more candy, more dancing.

Around 11:45 we started heading for the front of the park. Quin literally fell asleep walking - if Adam had not been holding her hand, she would have been face down on the concrete. We caught the ferry back to our hotel at the Cinderella hour, officially ending
The. Best. Birthday.
Ever.
